Production Pre-Press Specialist

We’re looking for a Production Pre-Press Specialist to join our team. This role is perfect for someone detail-oriented, highly skilled in Adobe Illustrator, and eager to bridge the gap between design, print, and installation.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare Print-Ready Files: Take client artwork and convert it into production-ready files for print and finishing.

• Real-World Applications: For example, you may be given photos and measurements of a garage door (including hinges, steel bars, etc.) along with artwork. Your job would be to create precise production files that:

  • Break down the design into print panels for large-format output.

  • Generate accurate cut files for the finishing team.

  • Provide installers with a clear graphic package that shows how the panels line up on-site.

• File Setup & Organization: Use our MIS software to take orders, organize job details, and prepare files that flow smoothly through the production process.

• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, print operators, and installers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (primary software).

  • Comfortable working on a Mac environment.

  • Experience with pre-press file preparation, paneling, and cut paths.

• Attention to Detail: Precision is critical—you’ll be setting up files for large-scale installations where even a small error can cause big problems.

• Problem Solving: Ability to think through practical installation and production challenges.

• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in a pre-press, production design, or related role in printing, signage, or graphics.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with large-format printing workflows and materials.

• Knowledge of color management, RIP software, or cutting software.

• Experience with MIS or production management systems.
